It was not until the Third Divine March that the Vigilant Brotherhood began the Cleansing of Beragne, a horrendous war of attrition during which the [[Hand of Alor|Hand]]'s death toll exceeded that of all the previous Divine Marches combined and the Vigilants hunted the vampyr clans to extinction.
