The grey and stormy barrowlands of Dunrith have at various points in history either been a duchy of [[Andar]] or an independent kingdom of their own. Unlike the rest of the [[Andar|Andaran]] Peninsula, the Ildirians failed in wiping out the culture of the Dunnish, who to this day retain many of their morbid customs, including a bastard strain of the [[Languages|Eavrish]] tongue. Culturally, the Dunnish are obsessed with death, and as such many shelter from the unending rains of their homeland within the same barrows their ancestors once inhabited and are now interred beneath. While some sleep under thatched rooves and pray within stone walls, most Dunnish are “barbaric barrowmen” who follow the mysterious Old Gods and flagrantly deny the [[Hand of Alor|Hand]]’s prohibition of their worship. Though the Dunnish have been freed of the [[Andar|Andaran]] yoke through bloody civil wars, many still refuse to recognize the authority of their own Barrow King, who sits the Deadman’s Throne in Endrycg, the City of Bones. This animosity is perhaps well-deserved, however, as the King’s thegns and housecarls do little to combat the many dangers that plague Dunrith, such as the witches and warlocks that dwell within the shadows of the Celendrin Holt and kidnap plump barrowmen children for use in fell sorcery. - **Native Language:** [[Languages|Eavrish]] | 1d20 | Male Name | 1d20 | Female Name | | ---- | --------- | ---- | ----------- | | 1 | Cadoc | 1 | Idwyn | | 2 | Oslaf | 2 | Meraud | | 3 | Talan | 3 | Lowenna | | 4 | Yestin | 4 | Raeda | | 5 | Arthek | 5 | Eira | | 6 | Guthlac | 6 | Beryl | | 7 | Redreth | 7 | Freda | | 8 | Ealdred | 8 | Gytha | | 9 | Fenton | 9 | Morwenna | | 10 | Leofgar | 10 | Olwen | | 11 | Coenred | 11 | Wenhild | | 12 | Jarek | 12 | Seren | | 13 | Hereric | 13 | Alfwyn | | 14 | Beorhtric | 14 | Ysabel | | 15 | Drustan | 15 | Nessa | | 16 | Ingweald | 16 | Cwenhild | | 17 | Karnak | 17 | Delyth | | 18 | Wiglaf | 18 | Merys | | 19 | Heremod | 19 | Cressida | | 20 | Sigeric | 20 | Thryth |
