Myr is the goddess of the sea. Called the Queen of the Tides, her primary domain is that of the oceans, though she is believed by many cults to command water spirits that watch over Runera's rivers, lakes, and swamps. Seafaring peoples such as the [[Middyr|Middyrians]] worship her fervently, performing drowning-baptisms in her honor and believing that if they die in battle at sea they will be taken to the Drowned City and given a place in her Pearl Palace where they may lie with beautiful merewifs for eternity. Beyond this, Myr is commonly prayed to for bountiful fishing catches, safe passage across stormy seas, and protection from those who dwell in the deep, whether they be her children or otherwise. Myr's most common symbol is a crashing wave, and she is depicted as a scale-skinned woman with a fish's tail in place of legs and seaweed for hair. - **Other Names:** The Saltmother, Queen of the Tides, Moiré, Dya Méhct, Mors Kavenya - **Related Activities:** Fishing; sailing; singing sea shanties; beach crawling; pearl diving; performing drowning-baptisms; drowning heretics.
