Orcs, or Ukran, are a resilient tribal people who struggle against a generational blood-curse that was bound to their race when they were enslaved by Balcorion during the [[Coalescence]]. Orcs have green skin mottled with pale patches and huge tusks that they often pierce or carve with elaborate patterns. Their eyes are entirely red save for their white pupils, and are framed by short but jagged horns that erupt from their brows. While their ears are pointed like [[elves]], they are also finned and spiked, granting them an alien appearance. All orcs are tainted by the blood-curse, or the *kharaal,* a magical disease which drastically shortens their lifespans but grants them hulking musculature. The blood-curse first manifests during puberty with a fierce surge in anger and the onset of blood-rages: violent trances during which an orc loses complete control of their actions and is driven to kill with blind abandon. Therefore, all orcs must embark upon a life-long struggle to manage their anger in order to control their blood-rages. Later in life, the blood-curse evolves, resulting in the growth of bloody pustules across the body, the near-constant vomiting of blood, the skin changing color to red, and blood-rages growing ever more frequent and unmanageable. Eventually an orc will lose control of their mind completely, and as such many choose to willingly leave their *Arukesh* before this happens to seek a warrior's death in the wilds. Some, however, survive this ordeal, and become one of the many red orcs wandering the wilderness, senselessly butchering any who cross their path. Orcs possess the following traits: - **Age:** It is unknown how long orcs may truly live, as most succumb to the effects of the blood-curse after only four or five decades. - **Young-middle aged:** 15 + 2d6 years. - **Old:** 40 + 2d6 years. - **Size:** Orcs are towering and incredibly muscular, averaging 7 – 7.5 ft and 350 – 400 lbs. - **Monstrous:** You are resistant to damage from non-silvered [[weapons]], but you have disadvantage on Cha checks made against non-orcs. - **Hulking:** You gain advantage on Str checks. - **Might of Ukulan:** You gain a +2 bonus to Death saves (does not stack with the +2 bonus for healing [[magic]] or other Death save bonuses). - **Blood-Rage:** During combat, you may enter a blood-rage to gain advantage on all attacks rolls.
